Time 4 Design
A template for this Criterion can be found HERE
TASK 1:
Develop design specifications for your solution, which clearly states the success criteria (this is a list of things your product MUST or MUST NOT do).
ACCESS FM is a useful. Using the table in the template complete the missing sections.
The specifications should be directly connected to the design brief. Writing a specification can be a difficult job if the design brief is not well researched and written. If a solution or design fails to meet an aspect of the specification, it can be considered that it has not met the criteria for success.
TASK 2:
You now have to complete 3 different "layout" designs for your Eco House. Each design will contain a "plan view" of the house, and then an isometric drawing of that plan. You MUST show evidence of this in your project folder.
All designs must be properly annotated and directly evaluated against your specifications.
TASK 3:
Take your favourite design from the task above, and then develop your design further and present your final design. This should be fully annotated and dimensions must be included. The design must be well drawn, and include colour and texture where appropriate. Isometric grid paper will be used to complete your final design.
You now need to test your design. Refer back to your specifications, compare your final design against them, and state whether or not you have met the specifications.
Finally, fully justify why you have chosen this design, instead of the other that you have.
