Unit 8: Developing a creative media production project
Unit Aim: Provide students with the opportunity to make use of the skills, knowledge and understanding developed through the previous units to complete a creative media project. The unit will provide students with a measure of self‐directed learning, and an opportunity to begin to clarify their longer‐term goals through their choice of an activity to explore in greater depth.
Intent: To start thinking of ideas for your FMP

Start thinking of ideas for your FMP. Think of as many as you can! Let's go for quantity over quality. Then, take your top 5 and start thinking about what you might do for each section:

What do I do?
Conduct an experiment related to your ideas, following the method below:
Experiment
1. What – What is your experiment? What do you want to achieve? What is the technique?
2. Why – Why are you doing this? How will it add to your project?
3. Example – Find a professional example. For example; a game that has something similar
4. How – How can you do it? Find 3 different ways of doing it. EVIDENCE THIS. Will you need to thumbnail it? Gather feedback? Etc.
5. Try – Try to do it. Try each different way. DOCUMENT THIS
6. Reflect – How did it go? Want went well? What could be better?
7. Select – Which method do you want to use in your final piece? Why?
