This project asks you to think about your chosen specialism, what is it you want to do? What job role do you want to undertake? You will show your understanding of the industry pipeline not just in your practical work but through valuable research and critical insight. This is all about you looking at the industry, the job roles you're interested in, its history, its present and the contributions you can make to its future.
Intent: To delve into the industry pipeline by selecting and examining specific job roles within the game development process. Gain insights into the principles and practices of your chosen discipline, fostering a greater understanding of the historical and contemporary contexts that shape your field.
Implementation: You will choose two distinct job roles within game development, undertaking tasks representative of each role's responsibilities. You will produce an extended writing piece reflecting and demonstrating knowledge of critical perspectives to inform your own practice.
Impact: You will gain practical insights into the day-to-day responsibilities of selected job roles, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry application. Achievement of Unit 12

Unit 12: Specialist study in creative media production
Unit Aim: This unit will require students to research and critically examine the influence of historical and contemporary contexts on their own practice. The unit will enable the student to demonstrate a greater depth of understanding of their discipline and place within it.

Work will be assessed in the form of weekly hand ins on google classroom, followed by a final assessment. Only the work on your college site will be assessed so it is vital you upload all work, including any development and mistakes.
