Intent: You will understand how to adapt games for different target audiences using PEGI ratings. You will explore how content influences audience suitability and adjust your game accordingly.
Implementation: You will analyse PEGI guidelines and identify content changes needed to meet a specific rating. You will redesign one of your games to fit a new target audience, explain and justify your changes.
Impact: You will gain experience in making design choices based on PEGI ratings and can use this knowledge to influence future ideas.
Soft skills: Communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, IT skills
Industry: You will explore industry standards for content ratings (PEGI) and learn how professional game developers design for different audiences and regulatory requirements.
SMSC: You will reflect on the ethical considerations of game content, such as violence and language and their impact on different audiences.

You will be given some labels below. In your groups find out what they mean, find some games that have the label and be prepared to give your thoughts and feelings on them!

Take a game you've made so far on the course. Over the next two weeks you're going to develop it further but taking into consideration PEGI ratings. What age is your game for? Will it need the fear label? There will be a twist at the start of next week!
