Gather research to aid you in your character design. This could and should be any combination of inspirational and technical research.

Start to develop your character. Document EVERYTHING! Show your mistakes, your successes, your weirder ideas. Challenge yourself to go outside the box.

Refine your idea. Now is the time to start getting one single image looking as good as it can. Consider colour, lighting, etc
