Welcome back! This project dives into the exciting production stage of the game and animation pipeline. You’ll get hands-on with everything audio visual and interactive. It's time to bring your ideas to life and see how all the pieces fit together in game arts and animation, creating work to directly use inside games. Let's go!
Intent: To provide you with an understanding of the production process in game arts and animation. Building on last term's foundation. To develop your skills and knowledge with visual, audio and interactive elements of the industries.
Implementation: Through hands-on activities and creative
exploration, research, experimentation, reflection and
discussion.
Impact: You will have a clear understanding of the production process and be equipped with the technical skills needed to progress in the field. You will also develop your skillset further and enhance your knowledge of the industry. Achievement of Units 5,6 and 7.
Industry: Focus is on real-world applications of audio, visual, and interactive media creation. You will work with professional tools and engage in practices such as asset creation, sound design and gain an understanding of the production phase of the pipeline, all of which are integral to game development studios and animation houses.
Soft skills: Communication, Collaboration, Time Management, Critical Thinking, Creativity
SMSC: Creative self-expression through the design and production of game assets, sound, and animation. Reflection on the ethical implications of media content and the responsibility of creators to audiences. Collaborative aspects of the project encourage teamwork and communication. Expose you to global trends in game design and animation, highlighting diverse approaches and perspectives.

Unit 5: Investigating audio production and technology
