Investigation:
Find some inspiration! This could be other flipbooks, games, things from life, anything!
Primary: Talk to your peers, has anyone made flipbooks before? What is inspiring other people?
Secondary: YouTube, tutorials, etc
On your google sites: Evidence of inspiration, reflection on your findings (what is it? How is it inspiring to you?)
Going further: Look beyond flipbooks and games, is there an animal that moves in a way that sparks your creativity or an experience you've had that would make a fun gameplay mechanic?
What do I do?
Start your flipbook! Plan out what will happen, sketch lightly. Focus on timing and action over each individual drawing being perfect.
Sketch lightly to plan out animation
Build up details as you go
On your google sites:
Evidence of development (photos/videos)
Reflection on development (what are you setting out to do? How are you meeting your goals? What are you finding tricky/easy?)
Going further:
Could you add colour? Additional details?
Feedback is crucial! Share your progress with your peers. What do they think of your ideas? What do you think of theirs?
Feedback should be constructive! What is going well? What would make it even better?
On your google sites:
Evidence of feedback! Recordings, feedback on the padlet, whatever works for you but "They said" isn't enough!
Going further:
Analyse each other's gameplay itself, is it clear what's happening? How could your animation enhance what you're trying to convey to the player?
What do I do?
Get this bad boy on your site! Record your flipbook and get your video onto your site. You might need a friend to help you with the recording
On your google sites:
Video of your flipbook
Reflection on the whole tasks (use the questions below to support if you're unsure what to reflect on
Going further:
Upload videos from other people in the class along with the feeback you gave!
What do I do?
