If you need them my examples files are linked below:
The aim: Make a 2D platformer, get it published online and get learners to playtest it
We're on hand to help and support!
1 Getting started:
What do I do?
Go to Construct.net and launch Construct 3. Familiarise yourself with the software. Watch the video.
Tip! Do not worry if this is unfamiliar or you're not understanding everything at this stage. It'll make more sense when we start playing with the software.

2 Get moving:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Get a sprite in the game moving around a platform.
What do I think about?
Making your character 'feel' right. The speed and strength of the jumps and movement is up to you!
Tip! Experiment, platform game are built around the character so this is an important step.

3 Winning and losing:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Add a way to 'win' in your game and a way to 'lose'.
What do I think about?
Winning should be the goal of your game and losing is what the player doesn't want to do. Try to build your level around this idea.
Tip! Understanding how to use layouts and the event sheet is a crucial part of construct so try to understand what's happening before moving onto the next step.

4 Publishing your game:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Export your game, go to itch, register and publish your game. You will need to verify your itch account through your email!
What do I think about?
This is just showing you how to export and publish, we'll be developing our games further!
Note: Be aware itch allows anyone to publish games so some content might not be safe for college!

You now know how to make, export and publish a game. Well done! Now let's build on that...
Now it's about building your game. It is up to you what you want to add so pick whichever tutorials interest you. You can work your way down in order or skip around. Have fun with it and try to think like a game designer!
5 Getting the camera to follow the player:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Learn how to get the camera to follow the player.
What do I think about?
This will allow you to build larger levels. Think about the direction you want the player to go: up, down, left or right is up to you.
Tip! Start small, give the player plenty of time and space to learn what you need them to before introducing something new.

6 Enemies and platforms:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Learn how to add enemies, platforms and make both move with the sine behaviour.
What do I think about?
Enemies and platforms are arguably what makes a platformer a platformer. So how you chose to use them will say a lot about your game.
Tip! The sine behaviour allows for loads of interesting interactions so experiment with it

7 Disappearing platforms:
What do I do?
Watch the video. Learn how to make platforms disappear and reappear.
What do I think about?
This is a simple way of adding difficulty to your game. Make sure it feels fair, the player wants to feel like they messed up, not that the game has cheated them.
Tip! The jump through behaviour is useful, add it to your character and experiment with it.

Playtesting:
What do I do?
Upload your game to itch, then paste the link onto the padlet.
Playtest another learner's game.
When giving feedback remember to THINK before you speak:
T - Is it True?
H - Is it Helpful?
I - Is it Inspiring?
N - Is it Necessary?
K - Is it Kind?
The aim is to create the best games possible and getting feedback is an important part of that. Just make sure you're humble when receiving feedback and constructive when giving it.
Experiment further! Have a play with behaviours and mechanics. The internet is your best friend here. If you want to try something we haven't covered yet please do!
