"There is no one right way to build your career, I have colleagues who have masters degrees and are only just starting their professional career, some people do their undergrad, get an internship and offered a job at the end of it, or like myself doing an apprenticeship straight from A-Levels and then learning while you work. The main tip is to not be pressured into something you don't like, you want to enjoy what you do."

One of the first things to do is think what do you enjoy, what subjects/classes do you actually look forward to going to, what passions/hobbies do you have that. UCAS has plenty resources to assist, not just with choosing the right university, but the right course and whether university is the right path for you. I would also recommend watching the Pixar film Soul, it's a great story about finding your purpose/passion.

Firstly always go through your HR support systems, there will be plenty materials and resources available. Secondly look out for employee networks/groups, they are a great place to find people who have similar experiences to you and those who want to be allies and help where they can.
