With three hours left in the period and clear skies, I think my forecast of category zero will hold up. The clear-to-partly-cloudy for the day was also a good forecast. The high was a bit of a mystery: the 00Z max report was 31.7 C (89 F), while at 2254Z the hourly observation was 32.8 C (91 F). Either way, my forecast of 90 was on the mark.
My min forecast was also pretty good. It dropped down to 17.2 C (63 F), so I was scared off too much by the wind. I was right that the dewpoint would be lower (although i didn't expect it to go back up near dawn). I was also right that the wind would be stronger: unlike the night before, there were no calm winds. All in all, I only picked up three error points (1 for the max, 2 for the min, 0 for the precip), which is a successful forecast by almost any measure.
