The long wait for Chick-fil-a is over! After a two year delay due to Covid, Manahawkin will finally have the delicious fast food restaurant. The owners of the establishment have yet to set a date for their grand opening, however they are set to open in the spring. This means it could be expected to open anytime between the beginning of March through the end of May. When they open, Summer time is right around the corner, being on Route 72 this makes it a perfect place to catch the eyes of the tourists and even the locals.
Not only will local residents of the surrounding area have a new place to eat, but another great job opportunity has been given to everyone. Chick-fil-a is hiring all brand new employees; this makes it a hot spot for teenagers who are looking for a summer job before college or just to earn some spending money. Working there is a great choice because of all the benefits they are willing to give. These include flexible schedules, free employee meals, and you are guaranteed Sundays off. Another thing that is fantastic about working at this fast food restaurant is that they give out scholarships. This is great for those who are heading down the path to college. But, there have been some doubts about kids and even the adults being hired. Some of the students in the Southern Regional High School have said that they don’t know if we will be able to uphold the reputation of being the nicest workers in the fast food industry.
Something else that is getting people excited about the opening of the restaurant is how convenient it is now. “I am so happy that Chick-fil-a will be just a 5 minute drive now instead of a 30 minute drive.” says Maddison Randazzo. Students have always gone to Brick or have gone to the Freehold Raceway Mall to get their favorite meal. Being that it is so close now will draw even more business . Those who have always gone to other locations will be thrilled that now they can get their chicken nuggets and Chick-fil-a sauce just a short distance away from their house.
Overall you could say that residents of Manahawkin and neighboring towns like Barnegat and LBI will enjoy the delicious new Chick-fil-a. Students will be able to work at their favorite fast food restaurant and are able to eat free instead of going out and paying. Plus, students going to college are able to obtain a scholarship given from the establishment and those who are just craving a chicken sandwich are able to get it and go home. Hopefully the Manahawkin workers will prove those students wrong and keep up the reputation of Chick-fil-a having the nicest employees in the fast food industry. It is their pleasure to give the residents of Manahawkin the blessing of being so close and easily accessible.
