Many students like listening to music while they are in school, and wearing Airpods is one of the best ways to do that. However, many people have one side they prefer. I interviewed Southern Regional students and teachers to see whether they wear their left, right, or both Airpods. The sample interviewed said they wore their right Airpod, which won by a landslide. The major criteria when asked why their right Airpod was that their right hand is dominant, so it made more sense. Mr. Dean, a Southern Regional teacher, said that he prefers his right Airpod because the sound quality was better. Others said they wore their left Airpod, which was surprisingly low, considering I wear my left Airpod. One student, Kira Kelly, said “I wear my left Airpod because I walk on the left side of people, so this way I can hear them best with my right ear.” This was a common theme with the people wearing their left Airpod. Finally, 23% of everyone wore both of their Airpods. Most of the teachers that I asked wore both of their Airpods. Mrs. Iorio said that it was just most comfortable. The left or right Airpod debate is definitely a common subject in high schools, but for Southern, the clear winner was the right Airpod.
