HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Post date: Nov 24, 2013 4:33:49 PM

Important information for Friday, December 6, 2013: We are planning to release our salmon fry the week after we get back from Thanksgiving break. We'll walk down to the river with our 6th grade buddies and send our little salmon on their way into the wild. More information regarding the time will be forthcoming. A heads-up that we will need many parent volunteers to walk down to the river with us. At this point it looks as though we will leave Riverdale at 10:15. We will bus the kiddos back up to the school at around 11:20 so they can have their lunch. Parents will likely have to walk back up the hill since we won't have enough space on the bus.

This past week we had lots of fun doing Thanksgiving projects that hopefully you have seen by now and reflecting upon what we are thankful for.

We have been closely observing our salmon eggs which hatched and are not in the Alevin stage of the life cycle. Ask your kiddos what that means...

Heart words to really review over the break are:

out of was and the so go we will

We learned the letter "Z" this week and did lots of fun "z" songs and activities. We also spent some special time with our big buddies and made some fabulous leaf turkeys.

Happy Thanksgiving to You All

Enjoy this special week with your family and friends! If you are traveling, please be safe on your journey. I look forward to seeing everyone back at school in December.

Take care!
