I can hardly believe that we have already finished our first week of kindergarten. It has been a busy week of community building, learning routines, meeting new friends and getting started with math and language arts. On Monday we had library with Mrs. Becker and learned about checking out books. On Tuesday we had both Art with Ms.Randall and PE with Mrs.Bader. We managed to squeeze in a treasure hunt searching all over the school for Chester Raccoon from The Kissing Hand, a book we read in class. We visited the main office, the nurses office, the counselor’s office, the superintendent’s office, the library, the gym, the art room and the music room. We learned about the different people who work in our school and what their jobs are so we know who to go to for help!

On Wednesday and Thursday we got to visit with our kinder friends in the full day class and had story time with them. On Friday we had Music with Ms. Scholz. We also got to spend time with our 3rd and 4th grade buddies in Mrs. Class.

Next week we will be having assessments to figure out where everyone is. We will also continue building our classroom community and having lots of fun.

Just a reminder that the Treasure Boxes should come to school on Tuesday. Thursday, September 19th is Back to School Night and treasure boxes will go home that evening.

Have a wonderful weekend!
