And November is here!

The turkey pattern is emerging on our calendar so it must be November!

And speaking of turkeys, the November family project came home in Friday folders this week. Please be sure to look for it. I realize it's a short turn-around, so if you can't get it in by Tuesday, no worries. I would love to have them by Friday though.

In Math we have continued working on geometry and patterns but we have started to focus more on addition as well. We added several new math stations this week which require the kids to put various number combinations together.

In Language Arts we are working on comparing and contrasting different versions of The Little Red Hen. In doing so, we are learning how to identify the characters and settings in a story. We worked on two letters this week - S and W.

I am amazed by how many words the kids are beginning to write in their Writer's Workshop stories. It's so exciting! And on Friday the kids wrote the entire Morning Message on their own. It's fun to see how supportive they are of one another. They are all so eager and willing to help each other.
