2.Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus LRa05
3.Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BLa80
4.Bifidobacterium breve BBr60
5.Lactobacillus acidophilus LA85
Main Function
Regulate blood sugar and improve glycolipid metabolism
Bifidobacterium longum subsp. longum BL21
Animal experiments show that BL21 can effectively reduce blood sugar levels in diabetic mice, improve
the antioxidant capacity of the livers, repair intestinal barrier damage, reduce inflammatory reactions,
and improve intestinal flora disorders in diabetic mice.
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus LRa05
It has the effects of lowering cholesterol, oral glucose tolerance, and relieving inflammation of the
digestive system. It has a synergistic effect in reducing blood lipids, blood sugar and body weight in
obese mice.
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BLa80
It has good tolerance to gastric juice and bile salts, and also has proteolytic activity. It can metabolize
and produce angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory peptide to achieve anti-hypertensive effects.
Bifidobacterium breve BBr60
It can inhibit the growth of enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC), inhibit the adhesion and invasion of
EIEC to intestinal epithelial cells, and improve the intestinal flora.
Lactobacillus acidophilus LA85
It can effectively inhibits Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella, significantly reduces
the adhesion of pathogens to HT 29 cells, regulates the abundance of intestinal flora such as Akkermansia,
and regulates the body's immunity by affecting cytokine levels.
"Probiotics BL21 and LRa05 help fight diabetes in mice."
A recent study found that giving diabetic mice two probioticsâBifidobacterium BL21 and Lacticaseibacillus LRa05âhelped lower blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and improve gut health. These probiotics worked by balancing the gut microbiota, especially in the large intestine, and protecting organs like the liver and colon. This suggests that combining probiotics could be a natural and effective way to support diabetes management.
Subjects: 30 male C57BL/6J mice divided into 3 groups:
Control (CTL)
Diabetic model (T2DM)
Probiotic treatment (PRO)
Induction of T2DM: High-fat diet (HFD) + streptozotocin (STZ)
Treatment: Oral gavage of BL21 and LRa05 (1Ã10âđ CFU each) for 11 weeks
Assessment: Blood glucose, glucose tolerance, oxidative stress, inflammation markers, gut microbiota via 16S rRNA sequencing, histology of liver and intestines
The combined use of BL21 and LRa05 improves glucose metabolism, reduces inflammation and oxidative stress, and reshapes gut microbiota in diabetic miceâespecially in the cecum, suggesting site-specific colonization. Their synergistic effects are promising for T2DM management, though clinical trials are needed.
