[ community & post office established 31 Oct 1901 - discontinued 31 Jan 1922 moved to Athena ] Site of a turpentine still on Blue Creek ceased operation about the close of World War I. 2 miles south of Keaton Beach off Hwy 361.

The Green B. Weaver family settled on the Middle Warrior where they operated a farm. Weaver was a contract mail carrier from Athena to Thelma via Lake Joe. Later he was appointed postmaster of Spring Warrior. They were leaders in the establishment of New Hope Methodist Church.
