Dekle Beach

Dekle Beach was probably started by Gus Dekle, it is known that he owned the property but it is not known if any development was started before that time. Gus Dekle dredged channels and dug canals and built Dekle Beach as we know it today. In their later years Lewis Hamilton and his wife Janis, along with Willie Joe and Ann Moody purchased the Dekle Beach property and developed it into an area that was enjoyed by many families.
