[ school site ] The Jack Green family farmed and raised cattle and their farm was located near US 98 west, where there was once a school called Mary Helen, with the Live Oak, Perry & Gulf Railroad stop at Roach a ways beyond.

Mary Helen was also the site of a turpentine still.
