Pretty Pond

[ community & school site (August 2, 1909) ]  The J. J. Ellison family lived in a beautiful area of Taylor County, their home being on Pretty Pond Lake.

L. W. Blanton was assigned as teacher for Pretty Pond School in 1902.

Bry Wright grew up in the area of Taylor County that was identified as the Wright settlement an area not far from the Pretty Pond community.

The H. T. Gunter family was farmers and farmed in three different areas of the county: Athena, Pretty Pond and Pine Level.

G. C. Gamble spent his entire life in the Pretty Pond area.
