Mule-Wallow Bend

[ place ] Mule-Wallow Bend is on the scrub between Big Spring Creek and the mouth of Spring Warroir.

 

Sarah Mixon Cash Mathis endured the hardship of frointier life as she homesteaded a track of land on Mule-Wallow Bend.

 

Legend has it that the first logging crews brought big Texas mules to use in their operation and some broke loose and got away from the operation. They could see where the mules wallowed but could never catch them. (from notes by June McLeod)
