Back Table (ie Top)

The top of TM East of the Upper Cable station has several easy paths, plus the longer routes beyond the top of Platteklip Gorge across to Maclear's Beacon at 1086m. Then there are the routes such as Smut's track from Maclear's to Skeleton Gorge, and 2 paths across to the 5 Dams on the Back Table and eventually to Constantia Nek. The Back Table Apostles path from the top of Kasteelspoort goes all the way past Grootkop and Judas peak to Llandudno ravine and down to Suikerbossie/Ruyteplaats at Hout Bay. 

There are several minor summits on the back table that are fun ascents such as Waaikoppie, St Michael's peak, Junction peak, Cleft peak, Reserve peak, and Split peak (above Ash valley).

The Wynberg Caves ridge has lots to explore and in addition to featuring 'Hole in the Wall' and 'Caveman's Overhang' has the 'Titanic Cave Ridge' route and 'Gat in die Dak' traverse.
