Lekkerwater Traverse
Location: Hout Bay (Ruyteplaats estate) or Apostle Battery at Llundudno.

Overview: The High traverse may be accessed from the Suikerbossie-Llundudno ravine path which is clear and easy, and the traverse is without problems. The Low traverse may be accessed similarly by descending from the saddle at the top of Lekkerwater ravine, in which case it is also a relatively clear and easy start, but the traverse has some awkward steps in and out of Soldaat se Bos. However, the traditional approach (Dave Carter's route) traverses from the Apostle Battery and ascends Lekkerwater ravine to reach the traverse level. This is more bushy and arduous up steep slopes.
Route Description:
Starting from Ruyteplaats parking, or from the Apostle B battery, traverse and ascend to below Llundudno Corner. Follow the pipeline track up Lekkerwater ravine to the spring, then higher up follow a ledge system left to Soldaat se Bos and continue up Grove walk until the higher level traverse back to Llundudno Ravine.
If only one of the traverse levels is done, then the slope of Grove Walk may be used to gain the path from Judas peak back down into Llundudno ravine.
