The Trumpeter

After a battle, a trumpeter tried to bargain for his freedom. "Do not kill me, for I carry no weapons and slain no man! Indeed, I have nothing but this trumpet!" "Indeed, and for that reason you will be put to death immediately, for you have sent more men to their deaths than the greatest warrior!"

Hence it is said: Instigator tam malum est malignis.
