One of the classic period rounds is “Sumer Is Icumen In” (Summer is a Coming In). I've never written a round, and still haven't, but the song inspired me (during a particularly bad allergy attack) to write this rather obvious filk.
Summer is acoming in, Loudly sing cuckoo. Blows the seed and grows the weed That makes me go——achoo! Sing——achoo! Sing——achoo! Summer is acoming in, Loudly sing——achoo! Drips the nose with watery flows And chest filled with ague. Sing——achoo! Sing——achoo!
