Final Reflection:
At first, it was a little bit rough because I didn't have a full grasp on what I wanted to do with my portfolio, but rather a broad idea or topic I was interested in. But as I moved through the first couple of pieces, I found my groove and had a much clearer idea of where I wanted to go. Overall, I am very proud of the work I have created, and I think that they all connect super well and have one cohesive idea. It's hard to pick a favorite piece as I do love them all, but if I had to choose one, it would be my poster for the national parks. I just had so much fun with that piece, both creating the physical poster and also doing some digital touch-ups.
I think I've grown a lot as an artist because I try my best to work with different mediums and explain my knowledge of art while also getting to know what it means to be less of a hobbyist and more of an artist. I think what separates an artist from a hobbyist is creating a series of pieces that all have deep meanings over a specific period. Moving forward, art will always be with me. I love creating little comics and characters whenever I can, and I want to try and find time next year to create some ceramic pieces.
