For my fourth sketchbook assignment, I chose prompt number 8 which was to draw something that had to do with hands. I started with brainstorming some things I could have my hands doing and or holding and landed on a few pictures I liked. I ended up landing on doing the one of me holding my phone because I had an idea to have something come out of the phone and I liked that idea. At first, I didn't really know what I wanted to have come out of the phone so I just started drawing everything else and thinking about it a bit more. While I was drawing I had an idea to have the phone morph into some kind of pattern or illusion but I ended up not liking that idea and I thought I could maybe have the phone turn into a snake. With this sketchbook assignment, I wanted to try a different kind of style by using crosshatching and hatching. even though I think my crosshatching skills could use a bit more work I definitely want to start using it more.
