Uninterruptible Power Supply (USP):
1-2 person Team Project
This project is to research how UPS systems work, and open and "fix" the UPS I have in class. It probably works, but the batteries are probably dead, and need to be replaced. I would like to have this fixed, so we can use it at Robot Club events to power stuff like our Robot Club Portable network.
Expectations:
Write up a short document that teaches what a UPS
Carefully open and document issues with the classroom UPS
Verify that the problem is that the batteries are dead. We can possibly temporarily use some other batteries
Determine which replacement batteries are needed and where to order them
Fix Classroom Scale:
1-2 person Team Project
This project is to research how scales work. Explain the Math & Physics of how they work. Determine how to "zero" the scale
Expectations:
Write up a short document that teaches how scales work
Determine how to "zero" the scale
Clean and possibly spray paint it
Fix Classroom Hot Plate #1:
1-2 person Team Project
This project is to research how Hotplates work. Explain the Math & Physics of how they work. Determine how to test temperature range
