Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program Now Open for Applications! 

Application Deadline:  March 12, 2019

Lockheed Martin launched a new STEM Scholarship Program open to high school and college undergraduate students planning to pursue a major in engineering or computer science. This program has significant scale with up to 1,000 students each receiving $10,000 annually! Even better, Mentoring opportunities will be a key component of the program, and recipients will be eligible for a Lockheed Martin internship following their freshman year of college. The application is administered by Scholarship America, an organization with more than 60 years of experience designing and managing scholarship programs.  The Scholarship Program is now open for applications through March 12, 2019.  To see detailed eligibility requirements and the application, visit https://lockheedmartin.com/scholarship. jim The STEAM Clown's notes: I don't have any experience with them, other than hearing an interesting interview on NPR that talked about this alternative to college, and then finding it again while I was looking for Scholarship options for students.  I might actually take their computer Science classes, and maybe even get the Masters in Education.  https://www.uopeople.edu/programs/cs/.  Looks like they have made some accreditation partnerships with International Baccalaureate (IB)
