This is an Introduction Unit for my Revolution Robotics Resource Page, so that means it's a Mish-Mash of Lessons, Labs and stuff that has to do with Revolution Robotics.ย  This Unit will answer the following questions:

Sid Bar for Teachers: This Unit and lessons is really about how I start my class. Many of the lessons might be specific to my class, but you could probably adjust them for your class.ย  I'll try to make them a neutral as I can, so they can be used in any Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or any other Engineering / Technology class.ย  Let me know how I can make that better. I would like to thank DuPont & Revolution Robotics for their generous support of my classroom and curriculum development. ย  DuPont was able to provide my 2020-2021 Mechatronics class with a Robot kit from Revolution Robotics, and I was able to build a classroom set of about 8 Robots.

Revolution Robotics - DuPont

In the year (2020) we had a super Awesome opportunity to play with Robots from Revolution Robotics, thanks to the generous support from DuPont and the DuPont Silicon Valley Technology Center.ย  I have now collected a few sets, and have a Workshop set I can let studetns play with.ย  Revolutions Robotics was a great project and I was really hoping they would make it throuogh the Pandemic, but launching at the end of 2019, and having to manage a product launch through the pandemic, was too much.ย  BUT, I'm going to keep my 15 or so brains working as long as I can... And then I'm going to just hijack the brains, and replace them with Arduino driven motor and sensor controllers, connected to the Raspberry Pi already in the brain.

  • Introduction to the Revolution Robotics
  • Introduction to Scratch (Block) based programming
  • Labs and robot builds to use robot sensors

  • Learn how to program using Block Based programming
  • Strengthen Team based Robot build skills
  • Explore Mechanical and Coding Brainstorming to solve challenges

Resources & Materials Needed:
  • PC, Laptop or Other device to access the LinkedIn application
  • Each lesson will have specific items needed to complete the labs and tasks
