RAMBLING SENTENCES

RUN-ON SENTENCES
A run-on sentence is an error caused by running one sentences into another, without putting any puctuation in between.

Common Mistakes
Es importante conocer los errores más comunes de los alumnos españoles para repasar los writing y asegurarnos de que no los estamos cometiendo:
NUNCA traduzcáis directamente del español porque hay estructuras y expresiones que no son iguales en inglés.
“-s/-es” para la tercera persona del singular del presente simple en afirmativa.
Los adjectivos en ingles NUNCA llevan la “-s” del plural.
Todos los adjetivos se colocan delante del sustantivo al que acompañan.
Los compuestos con SOME y ANY se consideran 3ª persona de singular (Somebody is...)
THIS / THAT son palabras en singular. THESE / THOSE son plural.
Cuidado con los false friends. ACTUALLY no significa ACTUALMENTE sino REALMENTE.
Los verbos modales (can, must, should, etc.) van seguidos de infinitivo sin "to".
Todas las frases en inglés tienen un sujeto.
PEOPLE es plural. Decimos PEOPLE ARE.
VERY es MUY. A LOT OF / MANY / MUCH es MUCHOS/MUCHAS.
No puede haber doble negación en una frase.
Intenta evitar el uso de contracciones, pues son muy informales.
Ten cuidado con el orden y estructura de las frases.
WITH ≠ WHICH ≠ WITCH.
WELL ≠ GOOD
DIE (vb) / DEAD (adj.) / DEATH (noun).
ENOUGH + noun / adjective + ENOUGH.
