The STEM: Imagining the Future elective will allow you to work collaboratively within a team environment on a real-world STEM research project. You will be able to further develop your critical and creative thinking skills, as well as your problem solving, research, presentation and design thinking skills. All students will have the opportunity to be mentored by a university level STEM mentor who will be working in various STEM industries around Melbourne. The program will allow students to further explore the possibilities in the STEM industry and decide if a future in STEM is for them.
Students will be required to submit an application to enrol in this unit and final approval will be based on application.
Students who wish to study this elective will need to submit an application. All candidates with be notified about the outcome of their application.
All selected students will be required to have strong written and verbal communication skills.
