Do you love being hands on in the kitchen? This unit builds towards catering food and espresso coffee for events. Students will build their skills in the Trade Training Center, having access to the purpose-built industrial kitchen and professional espresso machine. Students will increase their project management, teamwork, customer service and communication skills as they achieve their work group’s goals. Students will experience a range of Hospitality specific skills such as knife work; safe use of industrial equipment; frothing milk; grinding and extracting espresso coffee; and pouring hot beverages. This unit links to not only a career but may also lead to a casual employment whilst studying.
