Do you want to improve your fitness and know the secrets to how you can be the best version of you? Choosing Fitness Education, will allow you to work at a level of fitness that you didn't even know you could reach. You will explore the Components of Fitness such as Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength and speed, through the investigation of Training methods and principles. You will be given the opportunity to create your own fitness program, focusing on specific fitness goals and taking part in various forms of training.
The unit incorporates both practical and theoretical tasks with a dominant focus on Fitness. You will take part in a range of fitness tests such as the beep test and Coopers’ 12 minute run as well as participating in a range of fitness sessions. Fitness Education provides you with a strong knowledge of how to not only train your body in specific ways but also how to make appropriate nutritional choices to support your training. For those looking to continue the pathway to VCE PE or Sport and Rec, Fitness Education would be highly recommended as a strong stepping stone.
