Studying science will prepare you for a range of exciting and rewarding careers.

This elective will help to prepare you for VCE Physics. It will give you a solid foundation for the subject by providing you with important background knowledge, as well as giving you an insight into the rigour and high expectations of VCE Physics.

You will be challenged in this elective by working collaboratively in a small team to design, conduct, problem solve and report on your own scientific investigations. You will also be given the opportunity to engage in many practical activities where you will learn through a hands-on approach. This unit will allow you to recall key scientific concepts covered in Year 9 Science (Core) - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science, and apply this knowledge to new problems.
