Throughout this semester, my PLC group and I listened and discussed episodes of a podcast called "Sold a Story". “Sold a Story” is a podcast that delves into a critical issue in education: how children learn to read. Despite decades of scientific evidence, many schools continue to ignore research-backed methods. The podcast investigates why this is and how it could be changed.
Listening to each Sold a Story Podcast with my PLC group in my remedial reading class was such a valuable experience. Discussing each episode allowed us to dive deep into the content and share our insights and interpretations. It was a collaborative and engaging way to enhance our understanding of the podcast and what can be taken from each episode. This activity not only fostered teamwork and communication within our group but also enriched our professional development as future educators.
