One of our assignments this semester was to watch The Three Part Drill: Supporting Orthographic Mapping on the Central Rivers AEA website. The purpose of this assignment was to teach us how to use The Three Part Drill as a tool in our classrooms. The Three Part Drills' purpose is to review previously learned skills. It has three parts; visual, auditory, and blending. I chose to include this resource in my portfolio becasue I think it will be extremely beneficial for me to use in my future classroom. I learned a lot from this video including what each part of the Three Parts Drill is and why it is beneficial to students. I also learned how best to incorporate The Three Part Drill into my classroom.
