Classmate Chloe Nixon and I collaborated to create this social studies lesson plan in which we implemented the after reading strategy, text-dependent questions. Writing a lesson plan using text-dependent questions allowed us to create a structured and focused approach to teaching a specific text or passage. By incorporating these questions, we were able to design a lesson that would guide students to analyze the text more deeply, develop their critical thinking skills, and support their responses with evidence from the text. This approach would hopefully help students engage with the material more effectively and enhances their comprehension. I learned a lot about after reading strategies that I can use in my future classroom from this assignment. Including this strategy in this folder will allow me to come back to this strategy and utilize it in my classroom.
