Guest Speaker: Cathy Angel

It was amazing to have Cathy Angel, who is a literacy consultant for Making Reading Heavenly and Writing With Rhythm, as a guest speaker in our Diagnostic & Remedial Reading class. I am choosing to include the slides and outline Cathy used in this folder as well as the notes I took during her presentation because her expertise was incredibly valuable in phonics instruction. I felt like I leared so much from hearing her speak on the 6 syllable types. This made me more aware of the things I will need to study and learn to be the best teacher for my students. Having  a professional like Cathy share their knowledge and experiences truly enhanced my understanding and I learned a lot from her. There is no doubt I will use the information she taught me during her presentation in my future classroom.
