Lesson Plan #1

I created this structured literacy lesson plan on teaching digraphs. I designed it specifically to meet the needs of the title 1 group of first graders in my field experience. Teaching this lesson provided me with valuable experience in teaching and explicit small group lesson. It also allowed me another chance at creating a structured literacy lesson plan and then applying it to a real group of studnets. I can adapt this lesson plan in the future and use it in my future classroom.

I created this structured literacy lesson plan on Vowel, Consonat, E (VCE) words . I designed it specifically to meet the needs of the title 1 group of second graders in my field experience. Teaching this lesson agian provided me with valuable experience in teaching and explicit small group lesson. It also allowed me to practice my classroom management skills. With this small group, I needed to be very precise in my directions and communicate exactly what I wanted the students to do. It was great practice for me and now I know some things in this area that I need to work on! I can use this experience in the future to reflect upon and better my teaching.
