I wrote this phonics lesson plan following a structured literacy format on beginning and ending digraphs. Breaking down the lesson into clear steps really helped me see the progression of learning for students. By focusing on these specific phonics skills, I realized the importance of building a strong foundation in decoding and encoding words. Creating activities that target beginning and ending digraphs allowed me to see how students can apply these skills in their reading and writing. I included this lesson in my portfolio in order to come back and use this lesson in my future classroom.
