As some of you may be aware, for the last two years we have done a Scout Christmas Post. Scout Christmas Post services have been run in many locations up and down the country for a number of years. The Postal Services Act 2000 confirmed an exemption which meant charitable groups such as the Scouts did not need a licence if they wanted to collect and deliver Christmas post between certain dates over the festive period. We have decided that we will continue this year primarily with the Beavers and Cubs. We have not finalised the details for this but would like to encourage as many families to help us with this and encourage the people of Radlett to use the service to send their cards to those in Radlett for 30p a card. It is likely to run till the week ending the 15th December and we will launch at the Winter Fair this weekend.
