Headquarters Good News

We are delighted that the work to improve the building for all users is almost complete. In the last two years we have had all the windows and doors replaced, a new fire escape built, the building decorated inside and out and then a new access ramp and steps completed to make it easier for all. We thank Aldenham Parish Council and Hertsmere Borough Council for the grants which have helped it the funding of these projects. There are a few finishing touches to be completed in the next couple of months.

Our Headquarters Kent Lodge was originally opened on 10 June 1967 so it will be 55 years old shortly. To celebrate this anniversary and the fact that we are still offering Scouting in Radlett we are going to hold an Reopening and Celebration evening on Tuesday 7 June. 

We are looking at other ways we can improve the Headquarters. We have been approached by London Hearts, a charity that promote the placement of defibrillators in the community. They are supporting Scout and Guide Groups with a grant towards the cost. This is something we think is a wonderful idea so we are seeking sponsorship for the remaining cost so if anyone knows of a company that would be interested in sponsoring this, please let us know.
