1st Radlett Scout Group was first registered on 16 May 1919. As said above the woggle should be now distributed to all invested members. This is the design of our competition winner Barney, so congratulations to him and thank you to all who entered the competition.
Last week everyone should have got a letter about the Founders Day/Thinking Day event at Vision Hall, Christ Church in conjunction with the Guides, who also mark their centenary this year. This will be held on Sunday 24th February from 1:30-4:30pm and will cost £5. This will have activities for all based on International Guiding and Scouting and will conclude with a celebration of 100 years of Girlguiding and Scouting in Radlett. Parents, carers, friends and ex Girlguiding and Scouting members are welcome to join us for the celebration service held in Christ Church from 3:45pm. There will be a small cafe in the foyer of the church from 3pm for those joining us. We need all forms by the end of this week so please get these to us soon, if you would like to attend.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite past members and leaders to join us at our celebration on Saturday 29 June from 3pm and to help spread the word to those you know with past involvement. If anyone also has historic documents or photographs of the Group please do contact us on centenary.1stradlettscouts@gmail.com.
