As some of you may be aware, last year the Scout Troop started off doing a Scout Christmas Post. Scout Christmas Post services have been run in many locations up and down the country for a number of years. The Postal Services Act 2000 confirmed an exemption which meant charitable groups such as the Scouts did not need a licence if they wanted to collect and deliver Christmas post between certain dates over the festive period. Although this year it is more difficult with the circumstances we find ourselves in with leaders and having no Scout Troop and limited Cub numbers, we have decided that we will continue this year as it would be more difficult to start up again if we were not to continue. We have not finalised the details for this but would like to encourage as many families to help us with this and encourage the people of Radlett to use the service to send their cards to those in Radlett. It is likely to run till the week ending the 16th December.
