Thank you to everyone who supported the group Quiz Night, this is our biggest fundraiser and this year raised £517. A special thank you to those who organised and ran the event. We hope to continue having an annual Quiz usually on the Friday of Remembrance weekend so keep the date free for next year as we do have room for more tables.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the poppy selling, unfortunately we had most people at the same time but they did well raising £357.36 for the Royal British Legion. The numbers of Beavers helping this year was lower than previous years, which was disappointing as they are our largest section. The Sunday parade was quite well attended and the flag bearers did a good job. It was also lovely to see some of you at the evening Beacon lighting event which was a truly memorable evening.
We would also like to thank Sarah J for her 12 years of service at our group most recently in Cubs but previously in the Beaver section, as she has decided to move on. We are still looking for another more permanent assistant leader with the Cubs.
