25 July 2022 –Delegation from the COMESA Secretariat pays Courtesy Visit to Acting Vice-Chancellor

A delegation from the COMESA Secretariat visited University of Mauritius from 25-28 July 2022 to conduct a quality assurance mission of the Master’s Degree in Regional Integration (MRI). The Mission Team comprised: Dr Christopher Onyango (Director Trade and Customs), Jane Kibiru (Research Fellow), Frederick Msiska (Programme Manager TPART), Benjamin Masila (Head Information Resource Centre), Netta Gichuki (Trade Expert, TPART). The aim of the mission was to assess the implementation of the Master’s Programme, to identify existing challenges and constraints and to develop mechanisms for improvements.

The team met with the following: MRI Programme Coordinator; Director Quality Assurance; Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities; Head Department of Economics and Statistics and Teaching Staff; Chief Librarian; MRI 1st and 2nd year students; Officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade and Officers of the Higher Education Commission.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor met the team on 25 July 2022.
