05 July 2022 – Bialystok University of Technology (BUT), Poland - Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Programme
The University of Mauritius welcomed Mrs Grazyna Jakimiuk from the International Relations Office and Professor Katarzyna Czerewacz, Director of the Institute of Management and Quality Science, Faculty of Engineering Management, Bialystok University of Technology (BUT), Poland from 04 to 08 July 2022, under the Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Programme.
During meetings with Senior Management, members of the Faculty of Law and Management and the International Affairs Office, the representatives of BUT gave a presentation about their University and areas for further collaboration were discussed. The visitors were apprised about the University of Mauritius, its Faculties, and Academic Programmes at Doctorate, Master's, and Undergraduate Levels, as well as the University's services to students, academics, researchers, and the local community.
A networking meeting was also held between the visitors and senior staff from the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellors and the Registrar’s Office to brainstorm about best practices in different areas of higher education management.
As a first step towards strengthening collaborations between the two insitutions, Professor Czerewacz invited one UoM PhD student to BUT for a fully funded exchange programme, for a period of ten days in 2022. The Student Exchange Programme is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
