21 to 24 June 2022 - DARA big-data mini-school & hackathon

UoM hosted the DARA big-data mini-school and Hackathon in partnership with DARA Big-data, IDIA and the OAD from 21 to 24 June 2022. The Opening Ceremony, presided by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, was held on 21 June 2022 at the UoM Réduit Campus while the main event took place at the UoM Ebène campus. The activities consisted of a mini data science school, with a day of lectures from industry and academic speakers followed by a 3-day hackathon. The participants were divided into groups, each working under guidance on a different big-data project, culminating in a group presentation on Friday 24 June afternoon. Prizes were awarded for the three best projects
