The UoM Centre for Information Technology and Systems (CITS) proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary in December 2022. The official event was held on Thursday 01 December 2022, with the Honourable Deepak Balgobin, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation as Chief Guest.
A Blood Donation and a Tree Planting ceremony was also organised by CITS on that day to mark the event.
From its humble beginnings in 1997, the CITS has come a long way and has evolved through different challenges and obstacles. The role and support of CITS was crucial during the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions to ensure the continuity of UoM operations, especially in regard to teaching and learning.
